Overview

A DevOps-practice initiative I started and led to bring consistent observability to a proprietary application stack (POSSE LMS) and the teams that run it.

What I did

  • Standardized metric format (OpenMetrics) and log format and location across the stack.
  • Worked with application-development teams to integrate instrumentation and expose metrics.
  • Architected and built the Prometheus + Grafana and Elastic Stack clusters that ingest and present the data.
  • Drove adoption across the organization, partnering with tech leads and product owners to build role-based access and relevant views for each team.
